OAO RoEduNet - Timisoara is a NSP (Network Service Provider), part of RoEdu.Net.
The aim of this Central Access Node is to connect a number of LAN (Local Area Networks)
to the national WAN (Wide Area Network) data communication infrastructure and to provide
its partners - universities, cultural and scientific non-profit institutions - with the means
to communicate with each other as well as to have access to the Internet.

At this moment, OAO RoEduNet - Timisoara directly connects 17 institutions (5 of them are universities)
and has deployed 5 Points-Of-Presence in the most important cities of the neighboring administrative
counties: Oradea, Resita, Arad, Hunedoara, and Deva.
